There r a lot of places where u can post an ad for free.

Personally, classified ads websites r a great way to post ur ad, & many of them r free, though some do require registration.

l personally like http://backpage.com (choose a city, posting in a single city is free) & http://usfreeads.com, but they're focused on the USA - l am not sure what country you're from or targeting.
