So maybe consider changing ur major from advertising - in marketing we're somewhat kinder & gentler people - & the work is very dynamic, interesting, & challenging!

l did an MBA, with a major in marketing & communications.
l attended Royal Roads in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
l was a sales & marketing manager when l started my MBA, l became a general manager after l completed it.

As a sales & marketing manager - over $80,000 per year (helps if u have sales in addition to marketing as part of ur job description - for the bigger bucks).

For either job (advertising or marketing), u need a sense of humour (not misspelled - this is Canadian/British spelling), lots of patience, an ability to work under pressure & under deadline, an interest in working with people, & great communication skills (lots more, but that is a good start).
